Changsha was the last city before I headed home. Its not a pretty city. You're bombarded by noise, cigarette smoke, strange odors, cars, electric bicycles zooming by you. But there are quiet and scenic places like Orange Island where they built a huge bust of Mao Zedong in his younger days. You can still find small grocery stores selling fresh pork. I did get to try sparrow soup and stinky tofu and see a pretty spectacular fireworks show over the river. As I was leaving, at the airport, I was treated to a gorgeous sunset.
